Introducing Grayson Kent Alexander

On September 9, 2013 at 7:03pm our baby boy was born via c-section. He weighed in at 8lbs 10oz and measured 20.5" tall. Welcome to the world little one!

Our Son's Nursery

So, after many weeks of trying to pick a nursery theme for our son, we finally selected a family favorite movie...Monsters Inc. Monsters Inc. has always been my favorite Disney/Pixar film, although I love most all of them. So when I saw a set of Monsters Inc. bedding and some additional décor, I knew I just had to have it!

Isn't it just the cutest? We are going to hang the quilt on the wall and I have an idea for a small art project for the room as well. I can't wait to see it all put together!

We're Having a Baby!

Today Ryan and I found out that we're expecting our first child! While this something we had planned it all seems to be happening very quickly so it's both exciting and a little nerve-wracking! At this point I'm not even sure quite what to say. It seems like just yesterday Brian and I met for the first time at Macaroni Grill. It seems like just yesterday he got down on one knee and proposed. It seems like just yesterday we walked down the aisle and came out husband and wife. I guess time flies when you're having fun! Were so excited and I couldn't even begin to imagine sharing this journey with anyone else.

BabyMo 2.0

It's official. Mike and Amanda are going to be a family of four. I am so excited for them! Henry is the cutest little boy ever, and I have some weird feeling that this time around they will have a girl. I have no reasons to back this up. It's just a feeling I get. I'm probably completely wrong. Either way, they are excellent parents and I can't even imagine how loved BabyMo 2.0 will be. Ryan and I can't wait to meet the new addition in December or January. Congrats Morrison Family. We love you guys!

He's Here!

Meet my new best friend! Isn't he the cutest darn baby you have ever seen? Meet baby Benjamin Lucas. This is my best friend Kelsey and her husband Adam's baby. He was born yesterday, September 1, 2011. He was born at 5:15pm, weighing 9 lbs, 5 oz and measuring 21 inches long. I am already in love and I haven't even gotten to meet him yet. He has tons of aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins to welcome him to a very large family. What a lucky little guy! I only pray I get to be a part of this little one's life for a very long time. Love you baby Ben!

It's A Boy for Kelsey and Adam

So today, I found out that my best friend from college, Kelsey, is having a baby boy! That means that both Ryan's college roommate and my college roommate will both have boys. Ryan's best friend and his wife have a little one named Henry, whom I have blogged about before.

He is my favorite little guy, so Kelsey's baby boy will have a lot to live up to!  I am sure that her little boy will be absolutely perfect though.  I can't wait to meet him, hold him and love on him.  Although Adam, Kelsey's husband, has two sisters, Kelsey just has brothers.  Since I consider Kelsey to be like a sister, I am hoping that I will be like an Aunt to this little boy as he grows up.  Nothing would make me happier.

Anyway, get here soon little boy...we can't wait to meet you!

Austin PS

I made this cute little sign for Henry. I thought it was pretty cute! One of Amanda's favorite songs to sing to her son is 'You Are My Sunshine' so I thought this would be a great addition to his nursery.

Baby Henry!

Life has been so crazy busy, but so much has happened. The most important reason for this blog is to say that I just can't wait to meet Henry! Ryan's long time friend from high school and college just had the cutest baby ever! I don't just say this about all babies, trust me. This kid is going to be a hearbreaker for sure!

Two weeks from today Ryan and I will be heading to Austin to meet this little guy. We will be taking a half day on Friday and driving down. We will be staying at Barton Creek and will hopefully have some time to play a bit in Austin. I am even going to try and get some restaurant.com coupons to use while we're there. I don't know much about the restaurant scene in Austin, but I know they have some great restaurants. I hope we can find a few!

Anyway, I am so excited for Amanda Morrison and baby Henry. I am looking forward to having a baby of my own one day. It will be at least the end of 2012 before we even consider it, but I can only hope I have a baby as cute as this little guy!
