My two favorite things in life, other than family and friends of course, are photographs and quotes. That makes this challenge really, really difficult. If I had to pick just one it would be:
~ Teddy Roosevelt
Now, I totally have to pick runners up:
Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.
~Ella Fitzgerald
Be fearful of mediocrity.
~Jonathan Ellery
Be true to your work, your word, and your friend.
~ Henry David Thoreau
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.
~ Winston Churchill
Don't be afraid of death Winnie. Be afraid of the un-lived life.
~Angus Tuck
Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.
~Cecil Beaton
For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
~ Alfred Souza
